Cathleen Berdan

Director of Development

As a fundraising professional, Cathleen enjoys designing experiences where stakeholders feel confident that their time and resources are a meaningful investment to an organization – and where everyone has a great time!

For more than five years, Cathleen served on the Development team of ZACH Theatre, Austin’s leading professional producing theatre. As Associate Director of Development, Cathleen collaborated on the strategic growth of the Development department, identifying new projects and opportunities to impact and enhance contributed income for the organization. Responsible for ZACH’s annual fundraising events, Cathleen also developed and launched ZACH’s Artistic Innovation Campaign and, most recently, ZACH’s Stagelight Fund for emergency relief funds amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to her time at ZACH, Cathleen served as the Events Director at The Wine and Food Foundation of Texas (WFFT), a state-wide organization dedicated to investing in Texas’ wine and food community through education, appreciation, and enjoyment. At WFFT, Cathleen worked closely with Texas top wineries, wine growers, distributors, sommeliers, and chefs to develop and produce large-scale events.

Cathleen, a native to Fort Worth, is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Art History.
