Communications Manager


Christina joins Texas Cultural Trust as the Communications Manager. She has over ten years of experience as a nonprofit and philanthropy professional specializing in arts, culture, and innovative education. Christina comes to Texas Cultural Trust from Innovate+Educate where she consulted as the Director of Special Projects, notably leading the 2018 Close It Summit in Austin, TX. She worked as an Affiliate for Institute for the Future, directing the Austin chapter of the Global Youth Skills project. During this time Christina also consulted for various nonprofits in Austin, TX.

Prior to consulting, Christina was the Program Manager for the Work + Learn Futures Lab at Institute for the Future. Her focus was on looking ahead to a future where the connection between working and learning are fused, creating increased educational and economic opportunity that benefits working learners, employers, and the economy.

As a Senior Program Manager at ACT Foundation, Christina led international and national projects on the future of learning and work with a focus on equity and social justice. At the Surdna Foundation, Christina played an integral role in the Thriving Cultures Program, managing the $9M national portfolio and leading grantmaking efforts in support of a variety of projects focused on arts-based economic development, arts and social change, youth artistic training, and community-engaged design.

Christina was featured in Public Interest Design 100 in December 2012, which represented the top people and teams working at the intersection of design and social justice. She also brings years of experience as a program consultant for nonprofits and as a graphic designer. Christina holds a Master of Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana State University, where she played Division I soccer.
