Exxon Mobil
Corporate Arts Patron, Irving
Exxon Mobil recognizes the important role the arts play in the lives of children and families in the State of Texas and has been a long-time patron to various art and cultural institutions in many communities throughout Texas.
Throughout partnerships with the Houston Symphony, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Texas State History Museum, Dallas Black Dance Theater and Dallas Theater Center, Exxon Mobile has been able to provide hands-on experiences that enrich, inspire and educate young people and non-traditional audiences. Programs such as the Exxon Mobil School Tours Program in Houston, Young Audiences in Beaumont and the Exxon Mobil Youth Concert Series in Dallas go beyond the typical museum or concert performance. Working with local school districts, educational curriculum is developed and accompanies the overall experience by providing extensive classroom studies prior to the visit.
In 2002, Exxon Mobil provided more than $2 million to Texas arts, cultural and historical associations, and more than $10.2 million worldwide.
