Kimbell Foundation
Foundation Arts Patron
Established in 1936 by Kay and Velma Kimball, the Kimbell Art Foundation provides the funding and guidance for Fort Worth’s Kimball Art Museum, which houses a world-class collection of 350 works that span from antiquity to the 20th century.
Over a million visitors have explored the halls of the Kimbell, viewing works from European masters including Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Monet and Matisse.
The art museum celebrated its 40th year in operation in 2012, and in late 2013, a second building designed by architect Renzo Piano opened to further expand the collection.
