Leslie Dyess Blanton has dedicated much of her life to supporting and cultivating the arts in Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Plan II from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976 and went on to earn a Master of Accounting from Rice University in 1981. She is a member and former chairman of the College of Liberal Arts Advisory Council for UT, chairman of the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and chairman of Young Audiences of Houston. Leslie also serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for the Children’s Museum of Houston and as a commissioner for the Municipal Arts Commission of the City of Houston. She and her husband, Jack S. Blanton, have three children: Mary Catherine, Jackson and Elizabeth. Leslie and her husband live in Houston, Texas.
