Originally from Houston and a graduate of Memorial High School, Nancy Murray was raised with a love of the arts from an early age. Proudly calling Longview home for the past 35 years, Nancy is a former President of many organizations in Longview including: The Junior League of Longview, Leadership Longview, Longview 2020 Forum, Longview ISD Foundation and most recently the Longview Museum of Fine Arts.

She currently serves as an appointed member on the City of Longview’s Planning and Zoning Commission, on the board of Longview Regional Medical Center and as the founding President of Longview’s new Arts! Longview Cultural District. This cultural district was officially recognized by the Texas Commission on the Arts in 2019.  The mission of the cultural district is “to spark a love of the arts, history and culture in order to enhance our community”.  This summarizes Nancy’s personal mission.

A graduate of Baylor University with both BBA and MBA degrees, she has been a financial advisor for the past 25 years and is First Vice President at RBC Wealth Management. She and her husband, Jud, have two grown children and are members of First Presbyterian Church in Longview where Nancy serves as a Trustee.

Nancy believes that the arts are essential to a thriving community and economy, and contributes her expertise in organizational and financial matters to the development of Longview’s cultural and creative initiatives.
