Yolanda Adams

Born and raised in Houston, Yolanda Adams’ gospel beginnings were with Houston’s Southeast Inspirational Choir. She began singing in grade school, and after graduating from Texas Southern University, she would leave her career as a schoolteacher to pursue singing full-time. Adams would continue to showcase her talents, signing record deals with major labels. Adams has won four GRAMMY© Awards, 16 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, seven NAACP© Image Awards, five BET© Awards, and one American Music Award. Adams also hosts the ‘Yolanda Adams Morning Show,’ streaming on Houston’s radio waves.
