Mission

We believe students should recognize the importance and value of the arts in our communities, our cities, our state, and beyond. The We Love Austin Music Week program designates a week to enhance a student’s interest and awareness of music as an art form, by celebrating Austin’s musical heritage and culture.

Program Goals

Encourage students to appreciate the importance of music and celebrate its role in Austin’s past, present, and future.
Provide experiences for students to understand how music can be used as a tool to support emotional wellbeing.
Reinforce the value of music and help Austinites understand the economic impact of music to our city.
Teach students appropriate audience etiquette.

Benefits

Attend an exclusive backstage tour of ACL TV in the fall, leading up to the WLAM celebration.

Have your campus highlighted on Austin PBS, ACL TV, and Texas Cultural Trust social media platforms and with local media.

Receive passes to an agreed upon ACL TV Taping. Participating teachers will receive complimentary passes after the WLAM celebration is complete. Limitations may apply.

Be a part of next year's We Love Austin Music week, a city wide program celebrating Austin's music heritage! Sign ups open just before the start of the school year and close at the end of October. The sign up is easy and space is limited so sign up right away!
