Aarushi Lakhi

Aarushi Lakhi (Classical Indian Dance), is an 11th grader at Glenda Dawson High School in Pearland. She studies Bharatanatyam at the Silambam Houston Dance Academy with Dr. Lavanya Rajagopalan. Aarushi is also pursuing advanced training virtually under Kalamamani Priya Murle in India and has recently begun learning Kathak classical Indian dance from Mrs. Kalpana Subbarao. She was chosen to be part of YUVA 2021, a cohort of ten emerging artists across North America who choreographed a collaborative Indian classical dance performance. Aarushi hopes to use her Young Masters award to study under the legendary professor Sudharani Ragupathy in Chennai, India.
