Cynthia Miller is a writer, photographer, and educator living in Austin. She earned her degree in journalism from Texas State University and was a reporter, photographer, and news editor for the El Campo Leader-News. After a few years, she became a teacher and taught journalism, photography, and English. She taught for 24 years at Del Valle High School in Travis County before retiring recently. Cynthia taught basic photography for five summers at the Summer in Switzerland program at Leysin American School in the Swiss Alps, and she served on the board of the non-profit Help Portrait-Austin for eight years. She is now a freelance writer and a photographer specializing in family, senior, and executive portrait photography in and around Austin.
