Lerchen Zhong

Lerchen Zhong (Music/Piano) is a sophomore at Westwood High School in Austin. He has been playing the piano for nine years and is currently studying under the guidance of Professor Kiyoshi Tamagawa from Southwestern University. In 2023, Lerchen won the Grand Prize in the Asian American Community Partnership Challenge Cup. Additionally, he plays the violin and served as the Assistant Concertmaster of the 2024 Texas Music Educators Association’s All-State Symphony Orchestra. Lerchen plans to use his Young Masters award to study at the Young Artists Piano Program at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute in the summer of 2024.
