Madeline Hausmann

mhausmann@txculturaltrust.orgMadeline Hausmann received her B.A. from Baylor University with a major in history and a double minor in museum studies and French. She has harbored a lifelong love of books, art, and museums, and she was able to immerse herself in the Texas art community by interning with the Houston Maritime Museum and Anya Tish Art Gallery during undergrad. After graduation, Madeline attended the University of Chicago, where she received her M.A. in Social Sciences with a concentration in history. Her graduate thesis focused on nineteenth-century French Algeria and examined the intersection of colonialism and gender within this context.
After earning her M.A., Madeline moved to Austin and joined BookPeople’s marketing and events team. At BookPeople, Madeline was able to connect with the local literary scene and Austin community by helping coordinate and host author events, signings, and literary festivals. Madeline is joining Texas Cultural Trust with a passion for literary art, visual art, and music, as well as a genuine love for bringing art to communities.
