Shelby Sanders

Shelby Sanders was born and raised in Austin in a family of artists. She developed her love for art at a young age by playing multiple instruments and watching her mother paint. Shelby received her B.A. from Texas State University with a major in art history and a minor in mass communication. During her undergraduate degree, she cultivated a love for modern art with a particular interest in surrealism and abstract expressionism. During undergrad, Shelby began working with the Trust as an intern in 2019. In 2020, she was promoted to Administrative Assistant. She has been with the Trust for four years and has developed a strong knowledge of our inner-workings and understands the importance of cultivating strong relationships with donors and members. She is passionate about making art accessible for everyone, and loves using the arts to engage and teach children.
